One of the best parts of my job is meeting all the wonderful people. Everyone has a story… God puts people in your life for a reason and he put this family in mine. Two sisters that are truely amazing. You can’t help but feel the love just watching them. Shannon, your daughters are beautiful and you are a wonderful mom… Thanks for trusting me to capture their beauty!

Jeez! I think I ran more today chasing after Alex then I have in a long time! Typical 2 year old for sure! He wasn’t falling for any of my tricks or songs! He just wanted to run and throw rocks in the creek! Well, action shots are what we got!! (and a few of him sitting still!)

So much fun! I have to say we were all a little nervous for this session. Doug was the only one calm! The session went great and they were an awesome couple. I can’t wait to meet the new little one!!

Little Addie just started sitting up! I love this age! All they do is smile and giggle. I still remember her brother at this age. Once again, time flies. Before I know it, we will be doing her one year photos.

I absolutely love going to a new location! I am like a kid in a candy store. Sometimes I can’t ever focus on the subject because I am so busy looking around for places to shoot! lol. This location was a dream for me. I could have been out here for hours!

What a natural beauty Katelyn is. So sweet and down to earth. You gotta love a girl that changes in the barn!!

Little Joey is growing so fast! It is amazing to see how different he looks from his newborn photos. I love it when they start to giggle. I’m already getting excited about his 6 month session and we have 3 more months to go! He is going to be so fun!!

I just love it when the girls are a natural in front of the camera. From the first photo I took of Katie, I knew she would be easy to photograph. She didn’t even have to listen to any of my dumb jokes! She was great that the weather was perfect!

It is hard to believe that Eli is one. Once again, time flies by too fast! He was one of my chunker newborns that I just adored.
He went to a park on a beautiful summer day! I could have days like this everyday! He was attached to mom for quite a while but he ended up letting go for a few clicks of the camera…

{Westside Market…}

August 11, 2010

Well I have lived here for 8 years this summer and not once have I traveled to the Westside market in Cleveland.  I always hear about it but have never gone.  What an experience!

What I learned:

1.  Never go hungry

2.  Never go with more then $100 (cause you will spend it!)

3.  LOOK before you buy!  I get 5 lemons for $2 and Karen finds them 10 for $3!  Really??

4.  Ignore the salespeople when they are trying to get your attention.  My kids are yelling “Mom!  that man’s talking to you”

5.  Don’t go when it is 90 degrees and humid.  I just have to say the smell kinda got to me ( and little Laura too!)

6.  and never go alone.  We went through a scary place on the way!

All is all we had a blast.  The kids were embarrassed because I was taking pictures.  Really?  I am a photographer.  But in all seriousness, if you haven’t experienced the Westside Market, do because it is great…

Oh jeez…  I learned another lesson today!  Always tell the truth!  (I usually do!)  We were shooting on the railroad track and we left and got in the car.  A “railroad dude” came up to the van and asked if we were taking photos on the tracks.  Without even hesitating I said NO.  Big mistake.  We left and went to another location and sure enough, guess who was there?  Yep, the “railroad dude” guy and there I was with the camera in my hand!  Darn.  Felt bad.  So girls, railroad tracks are off limits for awhile!!  We ended up getting some beautiful shots in other locations around town!
